Depending on the application, you can adjust the brushless EC motor via a variable speed control with two speed levels directly on the control handle. If you want to work at lower engine speeds, for example, for lighter tasks such as trimming lawn edges, you can choose ECO mode (level 1). This reduces energy consumption and extends battery life. For mowing lawns and thick grass, simply slide the switch to level 2 to bring the STIHL FSA 80 to maximum speed. The speed always automatically adapts to the attached cutting tool and is infinitely adjustable.
The STIHL FSA 80 cordless brushcutter has been specially designed for use with metal-cutting tools. It is equipped with the STIHL 230-2 grass-cutting blade as standard. You can also choose from a wide range of other cutting tools and trimmer heads. The practical suspension loop for the standard-supplied STIHL double shoulder harness can be adjusted to your height without tools. The power tool has a carrying ring for storing the STIHL FSA 80.
